I'm going up to Tahoe with some friends for Thanksgiving this week and was wondering where some good places to play hold-em are? Specifically small stakes ring games. I've never played in a B&M so I'm also looking for places that do "tutorial" games. Any suggestions guys?

Harvey's has a the most games going; usually $3/$6, with the $4/$8 half kill (or was it full kill?) as the 'big game'. Play later at night (after dinner) or on weekends, and it is like printing money.

What is 'half kill' and 'full kill'? Never heard that before. Thanks for the info though!
Also, do they ever hold cheap buy-in NL tourneys? Cheap as in $20-$40. |

[/ QUOTE ] When kill conditions are met, the next round of play is for increased blinds. In a half kill situation, the blinds increase by 50% (from 4/8 to 6/12 for example). In a full kill, the increase is 100% (5/10 to 10/20). Most often the kill is triggered by the same player winning the pot twice in a row. Sometimes a very large pot triggers the kill for the next round. Depends on the card room. |

Interesting... Anything else I should know before venturing into B&M territory?
