Default is 5/10 online harder or softer than 5/10 B&M?

I'm looking into playing at my local casino (brantford charity casino) but I am play ing .5/1 at the moment at several diff casinos online. Is 5/10 online harder or softer than 5/10 B&M?

5/10 online compared to brantford 5/10 is NIGHT AND DAY.

Brantford is easier than the play money tables. Go there. And try playing 1/2 online. The difficulty level will be similar.

I figure you find success at brantford. Just play regular SSH hold'em poker? Play tight tight and bluff less? er what? What kind of success are you getting? BB/hour?

5/10 online plays roughly equivalent to a medium 20/40 game when comparing full ring games.

Short handed it plays like a $1/2 B&M game.

The online 5/10 game gets that much easier when its short handed?

5/10 at Brantford is the equivalent of .5/1 or 1/2 online.

Live is almost aways softer than online.

You do not mention if you are talking about limit or NL here...

If you are talking limit, the 5/10, 6/12 and 10/20 games (at least around AZ) are soft to say the least. The tables tend to go this way; the higher the limit the more educated, more solid players you will encounter. So at 6/12 there might be 2 or 3 good/solid players on a 9 handed table. At 10/20 there will likely be 3 or 4, at 20/40 3 to 5, 40/80 5 or 6, and so on.

If you are talking NL, it really depends on the maximum buyin. If you are sitting a table with a large cap, e.g. >$5K and most of the table is sitting there with that much or more in fornt of them, it is likely going to play tougher than 5/10 NL online.

Considering I recently sat in a live 5-10 game and took out 274 dollars without ever really playing much limit at all.......id say live is way weaker.

Any live limit game below about 20/40 is going to be a cakewalk if you can beat even 5/10 online. And depending on the casino, a winning 5/10 online player can probably play higher than 20/40.
