Default Markers/ Credit in Vegas hotels-- thoughts?

Curious as to what you high roller types do when travelling to Vegas. I'd like to be able to have access to funds without carrying cash on the trip. Do you establish check-cashing privileges in advance? Credit lines? Wire money to the casino? Something else?

Thanks

I've got a couple of credit accounts at casinos... not much. They'll base your line on your avg. checking account balance for the past X months, and your general creditworthiness. I don't know how they handle credit for poker... I always played blackjack when I established my accounts, and the credit manager at the last casino I got credit in told me it wasn't intended for the poker room.

They only offer you credit if you give them a chance to win the money they are lending. They won't extend credit for you to play poker.

I would call the casino, and ask to speak to a host. They should be able to help.

(Sorry, my casino experience is limited to poker and race/sports--two departments that insist on cash.)

Most casinos will allow you to deposit funds at the cage if you are staying there, and you always have the option of a hotel safe deposit box if you are uncomfortable with the room safe.

I would call the hotel and ask for a host. They will be more than happy to give you your options.
