Default Most Important Thing In NL Hold\'em Cash Game

I'm looking for advice. I have only played a No Limit cash ring game once (I have played hundreds of NL tournaments online)and I came out a little ahead. I am planning on playing some of the 2-5 blind, $300 buyin tables in Vegas this week.

What is the most important thing to remember in these games?

Is it smart to just wait for super solid cards and punish the draws and loose players?

Or do you need to be aggressive and run a bluff once in a while?

one lesson I've learned is "Don't bluff the fish". And yes, there will be fish in the $300 (2/5blind) games in Vegas.

Other than that, play your game. If you are a winning player you will win.

Just find the fish early...also identify the sharks and avoid big pots with them.

I would also say, try not to even play big pots with fish if you both have big stacks, unless you have the goods of course.

Other than that, from what I hear of these games you should be alright if you have a solid understanding of the games. Good luck.

Implied odds of pocket pairs pre-flop. Sets can pay you off very well since most players at this level are not skilled enough to identify them. Also, it is usally prety easy to know the few instances that your set is no good. Just keep in mind the size of your opponents stack when you're deciding whether or not to call pre-flop.

Don't play a big pot without a big hand.
