When would you 3bet and fold to a cap?
Under what circumstances is this ever the right line? Aren't the odds always there to call?

Not if the range of hands that your opponent would raise with warrant that you 3-bet for value but the range of hands that your opponent would cap your 3-bet with mean that you are drawing dead. Of course, this is very rare. |

If you 3-bet 72o preflop and get capped, call!

Under what circumstances is this ever the right line? Aren't the odds always there to call? [/ QUOTE ] Generally, it involves one of two things: 1) The other player is highly readable, and I don't have more than say 2 outs if she has the hand she's representing. This works best on the flop, where you can save bets versus calling down. 2) I'm trying to get her to fold a probable better hand. |

So you 3bet and fold to a cap only when you're playing against a woman?
In any case, I concur. |
