Default $2/$5 NL at Mirage - flopped nut straight

I just got back from Vegas and thought I would post a hand.
I actually only got to play poker for an hour and a half the whole time I was there (went with the girl) so, this was the only halfway interesting hand I got involved in.

3 limpers to me on the Button ($470) with 6c4c, I limp. Everyone at the table has me covered.

Flop 532r. Checks to player in MP who bets $25. CO calls, I raise to $100 straight. Folds back to MP (solid player, very aggressive with position) who looks at me for awhile and calls, CO folds.

(~$250) Turn Q.

MP checks, I go all in for $365.

Anyone play it differently?

There was no real threat here. I would not have gone THAT fast with the all-in. I don't think the guy called you, unless he is a poor player. IMHO.

I think I would have bet about $150 on the turn. Moving in is probably not the best move against a player such as the one you describe.

I would have bet 175 or 200.

Betting 175 or 200 on the turn, if the river pairs the board and Villain pushes are you folding or calling getting such good pot odds?\

Also, what hand do you see Villain calling 200 with but not 365?

no brainer call every time.

psychologically calling 175 to 200 is an easier call than calling an allin. I played that game a little in vegas I would be shocked if most of the people in my game knew how to get in out of the rain, much less if any of them realized the money is going in no matter what. when people don't realize the money is going in, I usually like to put them on the installment plan.

plus I bet around that amount (% of the pot) on the turn a lot, and don't mind if people know that I'll bet the nuts the same way.

I agree with Turnip, it is psychological. Besides if he calls he will most likely will payoff the remainder on the river because he will be pot committed.

I think a bet of $180 on the turn is better than all in.
This would be your normal continuation bet with many hands,
so it disguises your hand to make a "normal" bet. All in
gives away too much information.

Suerte,
Jonathan
