Default A PREFLOP THREAD (doesnt suck)

MP a loose/bad player limps. unknowns in the blinds.

what hand do you think has more value for a raise in this situation?:

A7o on the CO or
A6o on the BT

raise both? if yes then which is better?

Who is on the Button when you have A7o in the CO?

a6o on btn.

the diff between a 7 and a 6 aren't nearly as big as not having a player behind you.

OK, well given this is at a limit where you can assume that an average unknown will not CC very often, I think I like A7o. A CO raise gets more respect than a Button raise from the blinds, so they will be more likely to fold. The 7 kicker does make a reasonable difference in pair value, and also for not having your kicker counterfeited.

I think I would probably raise both at least some of the time, but A6o less often.

A6o on button is much better. I'd probably raise both but I'm less sure of the A7.

yah this is a silly question i dont know why i posted this thread. i thought this thread wouldnt suck but it does. it really does. anyway i found a preflop inconsistency of mine because i isolate limpers with A7o from the CO but i dont isolate with A6o from the BT. clearly my mother dropped me as a child.

I'm still hoping we have too small of a sample size of responses, and there could actually be some discussion. I didn't think the answer was this clear cut, but if it is, I guess it at least opens my eyes to stuff I need to learn about positional play.
