Default As passive as the idiot box

Playing 3/6 short handed with at my local card room with an unusual cast of characters. Most of them are retired, really nice and ridiculously loose tight. And passive. Like Mahtma Ghandi passive. Sometimes I figure they've just lost the muscle memory for raising.

I have AA, and I'm in some position or another. I raise and most of the players call. Pot size doesn't really matter in this hand.

The flop comes A73, they check, I bet, a couple of them call, including degenerate lady. She's weird, laughs, sighs, and bitches about the river most of the time. One of the players just left the game and gave his chips to her. They're like that.

The turn comes a 4, I bet, she check raises, and it's that look on her face. I have the mortal nuts, *yawn*, I'll try to look disinterested, *yawn*, it's that way she says raise like she waits for this spot all day. So I figure she has the straight, and realizing that beats three of a kind I call. The river is a brick and I check call.

I felt dirty, but it felt right. Like a de-virginized 16 year old girl.

I think this is the only way to play a flopped set of aces when you're check raised on the turn and the only hand that beats you is 56. If she's got it, great for her.

But maybe she's doing this with a smaller set or trying to get weird with AK?

I'm sure you lost by the sounds of it, but don't feel like a dirty little girl. Feel like a man who got sucker punched and took it in stride.

Can anyone really fold here?

No [censored] way. Hell, we might want to 3-bet the turn, but given the reads hero has posted, maybe not. I'd rather never play poker again in my life than fold for one bet on the river with a set of aces closing the action heads-up, with that board showing.

Why bother playing the game if you're gonna consider a fold here?

I think he might have meant "weak tight" or "loose passive"?
