Default Trips, Nut Straight & Nut Flush Draws - Check this plz!

Okay, I was playing a multitable NL tourney. It was the 4th round with blinds at 100-200. I had a little over 2500.

Hero is UTG with A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Hero raises to 500. All fold except for SB, who CALLS.

FLOP:
K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB Checks. Hero Checks.

TURN:
9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB bets ALL-IN. Hero CALLS.

SB turns over J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

River:
9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

SB wins with a straight flush, 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] - K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Okay, would you guys have played this differently? I think my main concern is the check after the flop. Because there was no preflop reraise, I was certain that I ahead far enough to risk giving him a valuable free card. Should I have bet outright?

I knew he made his flush on the turn, but my call to his ALL-IN I believe to be completely justified - A large pot with several outs for a nut flush, nut straight, a full boat, or outkicked trips should I have read his hand wrong.

Looks to me like the luck of the draw took my money tonight. Comments?

Thanks!

You were gonna lose money on that hand no matter what. Dont worry about it too much.

Monster hand heads up. You're looking for the best way to get all his chips in the pot. Unfortunately . . .

Don't sweat it.
