Default Short stacked with the big stack on your right

IS there any specific way to approach this situation? Specifically in my case the big stack was hammering other people with big raises, etc..I found myself very passive...what is the best way to deal with this siuation?

If you're short stacked you can't really be concerned with the big stack. You need to double up and the big stack might be to one to do it for you. If you are afraid of him coming over the top of you every time you raise; then either muck or go all-in preflop with a good hand.

I agree with Deacsoft...what are you worried about? You're short stacked, so you are looking to win a few coinflips. Big Stack is probably over-valueing his hands anyway, so wait for a decent hand and push (or call all-in when he bets more then your stack), and hope he calls you with a worse hand.

THis is exactly what you want when short stacked. You know he's raising with less than best hands, you can choose the hand you try and double up on. When he's on your left it's tougher, he's more likely to call your raises, so bluffing becomes more difficult.

Yea if your afraid then u should fold before even trying to attempt to call. You should go all in with a pretty good hand..if he pushes you too many times u need to push back..and hopefully double up.

Thanks guys. You pretty much validated what I was thinking. Sorry if these seem like pretty simple questions but I have only just moved to NL from limit and am very new to tournaments. Thanks for the advice.
