Harrah\'s WSOP qualifier
Over the weekend Harrah's here ran their first qualifier for the WSOP. It's $200+50, and you start with 3000 chips. Win your table of 10 and you sit with the other 9 winners of their respective tables.
Have a question about the blind structure, b/c it seems extremely fast to me. Blinds go as such changing every 15 minutes. 25-50 50-100 100-200 200-400 10 min break 500-1000 1000-2000 2000-4000 4000-8000 The poker guy at Harrah's said that they added a level of blinds to try and slow it down a little. It still seems so fast that even with a sizeable chip lead someone could be reduced to going all-in no matter what they have when it comes down to 3-handed or heads-up. I've only played online tournaments, so I'm not sure, but isn't this blind structure super-fast, and doesn't it mitigate some of the skill advantage a good player would have over an average player? Re: Harrah\'s WSOP qualifier
It is pretty fast since the blinds litteraly double every 15 minutes.
Yes, it does take a lot of skill out of the game, but as long as people play, the casino would rather have it over faster |
