Default $109s - 88 Level 4 (this sucked)

Considerations:
It's 10 handed.
I have a short stack.
This is Villain's third push in four hands. (no showdowns)
I should probably need to double up at some point.
SB may play with a hand significantly worse than mine.
Blinds up in one hand.

This is a pretty meaningless hand, I'm just curious what everyone would have done.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (10 handed) converter

SB (t245)
BB (t1695)
UTG (t870)
UTG+1 (t1480)
UTG+2 (t1510)
MP1 (t860)
MP2 (t1210)
MP3 (t510)
CO (t1070)
Hero (t550)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
2 folds, UTG+2 calls t50, 1 fold, MP2 calls t50, CO pushes, Hero ???

Tough question. I could argue either way.

Call:

The blinds are going up on the next hand and you need to double up very soon to have a chance. Villian has pushed 2 out of the last 3 hands, so your most likely scenario is pp against two cards, probably one higher and one lower than your 88, which makes you a favorite to win with favorable pot odds.

Fold:

The SB is the fly in the ointment. Because the blinds are going up he too must make a stand. He will be getting terrific pot odds with any two cards.

UTG2 and MP2 may decide to come along for the ride because of the pot odds being offered to them.

That being said, I probably would call and hope everyone else folds. If only the SB calls, and I lose to him, but still beat the CO, I win a small consolation prize.

When it is ten-handed with these blinds, you run a real risk of not getting to open any pot (much less open a pot with a hand you like). So I think it is ok to try to get a decent sized stack by calling here.

its real marginal but unless you get lucky and catch a huge hand every decision you make will be exactly that. pushing is fine.
