Default Like the flop raise?

SB is 31% VPIP after 70 hands. He's pretty aggressive pre-flop, not so much post-flop. CO and BB are standard loose passive with VPIP over 40% and no aggression to speak of.

Like the flop raise or hate it...why?

I usually raise this preflop.

I like the raise. He's agressive preflop so he could easily have something that missed like AJ. Even though he's not aggressive postflop alot of people will fire again on the flop after raising preflop, especially with something like AQ.

Raise 88 pre-flop? I'm not sure I agree...at least not at this table. The tightest player at the table is the small blind. The fact that on THIS hand a few of them folded doesn't matter.

My thinking is, if I can't get them to fold, all the value is in flopping a set, and I want as many callers as I can get when my set hits. Obviously, this time I missed, but my fold equity is pretty high against the button and there's a chance I'm ahead.

Am I way off?

Yeh i like it, looks pretty standard.

Your good on that board quite often and by raising you'll probably get the guy behind you out even if he's got a weak king. Also you put the preflop raiser in a tough position if he doesn't have a king.
