Empire moving to IPoker.net? What does this mean for tournaments?
Lorinda's post here has me concerned about Empire becoming a part of IPoker?
Will Empire still share the same network of players as with Party? |

There's absolutely no reason to believe Empire will be moving soon . A year down the road this might become a valid concern, but who cares now? |

[ QUOTE ]
Why would they want to move? [/ QUOTE ] Party wants to buy them out, since they are their biggest affiliate. Now Empire added some overpriced baggage making the takeover less attractive. Would Party even want a piece of IP? I'm not sure. Would Empire be allowed to keep their piece of IP after a takeover? Maybe. Maybe that was the plan all along. However, would Party allow Empire to keep their name in a move to a new network? I'm not so sure. But it would be beneficial to Empire if it was allowed. Even if they were not allowed to contact their old player base from the party network. The Empire name at a different network would go a long ways to get new players who would trust them. But I believe that is what the Empire crew and management would seek out of a deal like this. They act as if they don't want to be out of the internet poker business. They act like they are trying to keep their employees in jobs regardless of what Party decides if there is a takeover. Interesting though. |

Re: Empire moving to IPoker.net? What does this mean for tournaments?
IMO the Noble/CD purchase was a cheap, defensive move by Empire in the event that Party decides to increase fees for skins, or possibly eliminate some or all of them in favor of the flagship site. there is absolutely no immediate alarm of them leaving the IGM network, however.
iPoker will still need to make significant improvements to their network and software in order to accomodate Empire of course. this includes adding stud tables, and having a more intuitive bonus clearing interface, among other things. while Playtech is still a newcomer to the poker scene, they have managed to double their traffic from 500 players a day to 1000, and merging with Noble gives them the biggest fish in the pond right off the bat. and on the casino side, Playtech is already a major player with clients Golden Palace, Aspinalls, Bet365 and slots.com. sportsbook affiliates like BetFred and Sports Interaction should also help increase poker volume down the line. |

Ask Lori. She seems to think it's going to happen tomorrow. [/ QUOTE ] Moronic crap like the above is the reason I no longer bother to post on this forum. It is a fact that they will soon be operating on the ipoker network. The question that remains is whether they will be _only_ on ipoker, or whether they will continue on both networks. I swear that below is the email exchange I had when I tried to get some further light shed on the matter [ QUOTE ] Subject: ipoker network.[#3440471] Hi there support, Could you tell me if you will continue to be a part of the Party network when you open up your room on ipoker.net Thanks Lori [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Dear Arick, Thank you for contacting us. Lori [/ QUOTE ] The only "moronic crap" I saw was your original post. You said "Empire WILL be MOVING to the IPoker Network SOON". What was the purpose of that post?? Empire might run another poker room/casino, but they will not be MOVING there SOON. |

Dear Arick,
I think that e-mail exchange is pretty funny. What party support lacks in competence they MORE than make up for in making me giggle and shake my head.] |
