Showing good hands in blind stealing time?

Hi all,

Any thoughts about this strategy that you show good hands in blind stealing time. For example Juha Helppi seems to show every time good hand when he gets only blinds.

Offcourse point in this strategy is to do a tight-image, but is all good?

I don't like this at all. It implies every time you don't show that you were bluffing and everyone will pick up on your betting patterns.

When I first start stealing, it is usually with good hands, so I show them like the first 3 or 4 times, then I stop showing permanently, even with good hands. This allows the table to think i'm stealing with good hands only and will give me some table respect. When I get moved to a new table, I repeat the process until I think the table realizes I'm a tight player.

I also like to show a good hand when I raise preflop and everybody folds. While the one reply is correct in that people will maybe think every time you don't show you have garbage, overall I think it increases your chances of stealing next time.

Also, if you're really worried, here's a trick. Show a few A-big-kicker hands. Fold a few. Then, next time you've got a real monster, instead of showing it, attempt to fold it, but toss it in so it "accidentally" gets exposed. Then they'll see that you were about to fold KK without showing it, and they'll think twice about assuming that other unshown hands were garbage. Of course, you have to practice this move, and make it look real.
