QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
100NL
Uh, the initial raiser, raised and stacked someone with a set of Js. He was out of the hand by the turn. The turn pusher has no real reads - I think he's been at the table for about 6 hands. \ Edit: And we both have about 100 in our stack. |

As far as "is this standard?", without a read on your opponent, I would say no. You typically don't want to play for your stack with TPTK, or an overpair. Two pair is marginal, and I would say most players are looking for a set on a relatively uncoordinated board to play for their stack.

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
so the pot size on the flop is about $45? I pot it.
Edit: you're obviously pushing any turn for your last $35 |

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
When a pot is reraised preflop, TPTK and overpairs become worth taking to felt, IMO. Any cbet commits you.
Assuming 100BB. Deep stacks, you actually have to play poker (go figure) Edit: use your head; if you have AQ TPTK and villain called a 3bet pf but raises the flop, you can let it go (AA-KK and sets). |

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
So pot is ~$100 on flop and you lead for 25? Also what are stack sizes?I'm thinking a push is probably best. JMO

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
I couldn't get the convertor to work and I didn't want to post the raw HH, but since there is some confusion, maybe I'll just post it:
THis is ugly: Seat 4 is the button Total number of players : 10 Seat 2: a( $145.65 ) Seat 10: b ( $203.25 ) Seat 7: hero ( $95.85 ) Seat 8: c ( $26.75 ) Seat 4: d ( $136.89 ) Seat 6: e ( $0 ) Seat 5: f ( $95 ) Seat 1: g ( $96 ) Seat 9: h ( $120.40 ) Seat 3: i ( $100 ) b posts small blind [$0.50]. hero posts big blind [$1]. i [$1]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to hero [ Qc Qd ] c folds. d folds. e raises [$5]. f folds. g folds. i folds. a calls [$5]. b calls [$4.50]. hero raises [$14]. c calls [$10]. d calls [$10]. e calls [$10]. ** Dealing Flop ** [ 4h, Th, 7c ] a checks. heo bets [$25]. e folds. f folds. g calls [$25]. ** Dealing Turn ** [ 2h ] g is all-In [$55] hero calls [$55]. ** Dealing River ** [ Jc ] |

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
players c and d, after folding and then calling your raise, probably have small pocket pairs. player g folding preflop and then pushing the turn is troubling. But i think the real player to watch here is f, who folds preflop and on the flop, but then mysteriously has no turn or river action? that's one sneaky mother [censored]

Re: QQ line check - I\'m pretty sure I messed up somewhere!
Haha - you took more care than I. That's why this hand was so confusing!
Oh well, it sounds like I should have folded to the turn push, and that's all I care about. |
