Trying to identify chips used on WPT final table episodes
I have been trying to find the chips used on the WPT final table episodes lately and can't for the life of me figure it out!
They are the ones that look thin and the players usually have huge stacks of them. They are most notable in the season 2 dvd. They are really thin and kind of bland colors like brown and yellow. |

Yeah I have seen these too and they almost look plastic. I don't like em that much, except the orange ones.

if you remember the episode, it's pretty easy to figure out. [/ QUOTE ] Listen to Jojo -- he knows chips. But what he isn't telling you is that the chips for the WPT final tables mostly change from episode to episode. With the exception of the special WPT episodes like the Hollywood Home Game, the chips at a WPT final table are provided by the casino that holds the event. They are, of course, the casino's tournament chips, not their regular cash game chips (for the obvious reason that a T1000 chip is not worth $1000 in real money and thus is clearly marked). So the chips at the WPT Bay 101 for example are not the same chips as the WPT at Borgata. So to answer your question OP, you have to tell us WHICH WPT event you are asking about. |

[/ QUOTE ] As far as I can tell, you can order directly from the person facilitating the group buy, bostonpokerchips Chiptalk.net itself is only a forum for discussing chips, not a retailer. I believe this buy is still going on, but you'd have to check the threads, including this one: another WSOP replica thread. But you may need to be a member (eg, register for the forum) to access the discussions... |

I am referring to the ones used in the episode where David Williams and Negreanu faced heads-up. The chips looked plastic almost and extremely thin.

[/ QUOTE ] the borgata open, i think? here's a link to pics of borgata tourny chips: link i don't know if those were the ones exactly...what i would bet, say $100, is that the borgata would not use cheap chips for a WPT event. ooh...just found this: link. those are bud jones style. the glittery inner ring on the bigger denoms indicates abbiati, though, methinks. Not cheap, not thin. plastic? yeah. |
