Default Find a raise? Heads up

Unknown villain.

Does a flop raise accomplish anything? Can I fold to a 3 bet?

On the turn I didn't want to raise since I picked up outs, and I hate folding on a board like this against an unknown..

Cryptologic 2.00/4.00 Hold'em (5 handed) link

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
Hero raises, 2 folds, BB calls.

Flop: (4.50 SB) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (3.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (5.25 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7.25 BB.

Actually, this is an interesting spot. Lots of ways to play this.

Raising the flop is a good option. No you can't fold to a 3 bet, in fact I may cap it.

Raising the flop lets you get more money in the pot, and punish draws, maybe force overs to fold.

Waiting til the turn to raise is interesting as well.

If you wait you are less likely to get 3 bet by a better hand. You can squeeze another big bet out of him or get him to fold overs.

I think I wait and raise the turn here. You do have to raise somewhere, and I think the turn is the spot.
Get the big bet out, then you can decide on the river if you want to put in the last bet.

If you raise the flop, you give him the option to 3 bet or check/raise you on the turn. If you wait til turn to raise you take away some of his options.

If he 3 bets are you peeling and ditching it on the river UI?

And do you plan on raising any turn card when you just call the flop?

Yes.

Not any, but a lot.

We are often ahead of him, and we have 6 outs against most of his hands in your in your situation. He doesn't 3-bet us all that often, so we don't really have to worry about it so much. Furthermore, he almost never 3-bets us and leads the river with something that we beat. It may happen sometimes, but not enough to worry about. The turn raise is just too valuble.

Raising the flop might be good too.
