Playing KJo Preflop
Ok, Ok, God, I admit it. I don't know how to play KJo preflop. I am telling God because he gave it to me no less than 10 times in 300 hands last night.
I don't have the actual hand histories but here are the villians. The table was pretty typical except for one retard that was 2 to my left (thus making button raising very difficult). He was 70/3/0.2 and called EVERY raise in his BB. Pretty much everyone else was 30-40/10-15/2. We were all working off retarts money and enjoying the benefits. I would like opinion on 4 scenarios all of with I got last night. KJo under the gun. KJo on the button behind 1 limper. Remember BB is guarenteed to call if raised. KJo in sb with retard and one other limper KJo in BB with retard and sb completed. Are they all raises. Some... None?? |

Re: Playing KJo Preflop
I raise them all. I don't generally get involved if there is a raise ahead of me. I'll complete from the blinds to a raise. But with limpers and calling stations , I'm raising.

Re: Playing KJo Preflop
Raise,
Raise, Raise(Only call is some like super tight tag who never raises just limped i.e. 15/2 - Unlikly at your table) Raise. Sure the last 2 your positon sucks but KJo is pretty good hand! KA, KQ, KJ... |

Re: Playing KJo Preflop
The first 2 are automatic raises. The second 2 are debatable depending on the limper, but I like a raise in both cases.

i am completing KJo in the SB. do I suck?? [/ QUOTE ] Depends. If the limper is loose or BB is tight, yes. If the limper is tight passive PF and BB is loose. I could see a complete, but mostly raise it because you'll have the limper in a bad way a lot and you want BB's dead money in the pot. |

Re: Playing KJo Preflop
Raise them all. First two I would hope are standard. Last two can go either way I guess, but you should still raise them.
