Default The BEST Memory Book or System?

Hey everyone, I'm thinking about getting into Seven-Card Stud, but my memory is lacking. Have any of you used books or programs to help improve your memories? I did a search and came up with The Memory Book. Is that the best? Any opinions are welcomed and appreciated. Thanks a lot.

Is that the one by Harry Lorayne? I think it is. I used Lorayne's method to learn high-level card counting and to help with 7-stud, too, as well as on some exams and study materials in school. I found it took a while to get used to, but I made up a bunch of flash cards to drill with and they did a phenomally good job for me. I wound up being able to memorize long strings of random things. It helped me a lot in memorizing concepts and odds from Chip Reese's 7-stud section in Super/System and Ray Zee's 7-stud book. I'd say it was invaluable, and having the ability to keep odds and strategic concepts in mind, and keep track of the cards out and what cards were PROBABLY out due to the betting patterns, helped me move up limits very quickly in stud, and stay there.

By the way, your memory is affected by lots of other things, like sleep and nutrition and physical fitness. Be sure to check into improving all of those things as much as you possibly can. And emotions and psychological factors can destroy memory too. It really is a complicated matter, and it can be hard to be firing on all cylinders every time you want to be.
