Two hands with the same concept I think I have wrong
If you have a big draw on the flop, with a large field, and are last to act, do you want to see the turn cheaply or bet it?
Two hands I played today in a 2-5 game: I have a tight aggressive image. 2 limpers. I raise AsQs to 30 in CO. 4 people call. Flop is Ks Js 7x. Checked to me. I have about 400 left. Do you check or bet? Retard straddles and tard UTG raises to 25. 3 people call and I call with Js8s on the button. Retard straddler calls. Flop is Ks 9s 8x. Retard bets 20. Everyone calls and it's to me. Raise or call? I have 500ish. I bet 100 in the first hand and was CR'd all in by JJ. I raised to 140 in the second hand. |

Hand 1: I bet and try to take it down then check the turn if someone calls.
Hand 2: I just call and try to hit. |

Re: Two hands with the same concept I think I have wrong
I like the first hand. I probabably call in second.
In first hand, you bring smaller flush draws, along, basically representing a badly bet slick. The pot is pumped up, you can still get checked to, to check turn, etc. In the second hand, I think you blow off smaller flush draws and potentially tard, but will take bigger draws with you. |

I try to get it allin on flop with AQs...if someone calls take free cards or whatev.
hand 2 I probably just shove it in and hope everything works out. |

Re: Two hands with the same concept I think I have wrong
I always bet the first hand to build the pot for when i suck out and there's lots of people in so the pot odds are fine, but I also always wonder 'should i just check here?'.
Second hand, is there anything wrong with pushing? Pot looks like its over 200 and most likely holdings for people are draws that you want out, and pairs that you're a favourite over, plus the pot isn't a bad one to just take down. I also think calling may be best however. I think raising anything but all in is the worst actually with stacks like this |

Re: Two hands with the same concept I think I have wrong
1. Never call. Bet 2/3. check turn if miss
2. Never call. Raise pot or all in. whatever works. |
