Live $6/12 from Trump, IN last night
Live $6/12 with a kill to 10/20, this is not a kill pot.
Players in this hand are EP - one of the few reasonable players at this table, won the last hand and had mentioned recently that he wanted to "go on a rush", although I know for a fact that his opponent in the hand did not hear that. The other player (MP) is a friend of mine, who has been playing fairly tight and is up around 15BB at this point. EP raises from UTG, folded to MP who three-bets, folded to me in the SB, I fold KTo, Big blind folds, EP calls. Flop (7.5 SBs) KT6 rainbow Check, check Turn (3.75 BBs) 4, completing the rainbow Bet, call River (5.75 BBs) Q Check, bet, raise, 3-bet, call. EP showed KTo MP showed AJs What do you think of the preflop raise by MP? What do you think of EP's flop/turn play? -Ash |

Re: Live $6/12 from Trump, IN last night
preflop MP raise is fine if he has a read that a)button and blinds will fold and b)EP is raising a bit light from time to time.
EPs check is fine. Probably hoping to get a c/r here or the turn but MP didn't oblige. Lead on turn is good. MP makes a BAD call here. He can't know that his A outs aren't good, but he shouldn't be thinking that his J outs are full outs. At 7 outs + implied this is close getting just shy of 5:1. In the actual situation he's 10:1 getting 5:1 + implied. Nice pot, bad turn call. ThisHo |
