New Mexico No-limit
Can anyone tell me if No-limit Hold em is spread in any New Mexico Casinos? If so, what kinds of structures?
Also, has anyone been to the new Inn of the Mountian Gods Casino? Thanks, Bosco |

Re: New Mexico No-limit
I was at the new IMG two weeks ago. The new poker room is a distinct improvement over the old, at least in terms of equipment and environment (however, they use super cheap plastic chips...). It is "no smoking, though the rail at one end of the room from the casino allows smoking, and ALL the smoke flows directly into the cardroom...
The same staff runs the place, so the same old problems exist. I played $200NL ($1/$2 blinds), and, over the course of six hours there were at least two seats empty about 90% of the time. At one point, four people from the table went to the buffet together and were allowed to be gone for up to 45 kminutes (there was a list of about 8-10 people at the time!)! At one point the table looked like it was gonna break, and two guys just up and moved to two open seats at the other $200 NL table, and the floor said "no problem" (they were two of the most recently seated, also). The place has a history of lazy and sloppy management like that.... The $200NL game was loose and juicy most of the night; a couple of us won between $400 and $1000 in about 5 hours (my first time @ B&M NL!! ). Later, about 10:30 PM on a Saturday, it got really tight, and I left.... They spread $100 NL (1 table), $200NL (2 tables), $2/$4 LHE (2 tables); $5/$10 Omaha (2 tables) and a stud game - 9 tables, with one or two empty much of the time, but long lists on most of the games. Staff said to get there around 3:00 on Friday and Saturday to avoid waits, but, except for the 2/4 and $200, waits didn't seem to be a problem.... |
