JJ WTF Mate?
Hero is UTG with $25. Villain is on the SB with $23. 4 handed 25/50 cent NL.
Villain is TA and can lay down decent hands in the right circumstances. He also goes on very bad tilt sometimes and was tilting a bit tonight. Hero raises $1, button folds, Villain calls, BB folds. Flop comes 7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] pot is $2.50 Hero bets $3 (my Jacks are red) Villain pushes and says "Let's go all in." What do I do here? |

Re: JJ WTF Mate?
Is this live or online?
Calling and folding on the flop are both better than miniraising preflop. Never do that with a vulnerable big pair like this ever again. Ever. Given the way the action went down, and that the villain is tilting, I think you're ahead more often than not. |

Re: JJ WTF Mate?
My guess is gonna be flush draw, especially if he's tilting, he may just want to gamble.
The problem is that unless he has 9T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], you're at best 60/40 against 1 over and a flush draw, but could be about a 55/45 dog against two overs + flush draw. EDIT: Just in case it wasn't clear, I wouldn't make this laydown, just in case he's really steaming and pushing TPWK or something. |

Re: JJ WTF Mate?
I'm guessing he doesn't have 5-6 or a set given the size of his reraise. That would be a huge overbet for those hands. He probably would have raised preflop with an overpair. He may have connected with the flop in some small way and put you on overcards, or he could have a flush draw. He could also have A5 for the double gutshot.
It's hard to put him on an exact range of hands, because you say he's tilting, but a huge overbet like that looks like a draw. |
