[/ QUOTE ] While his vote counts for the same value, he gets to assign who writes the decisions whenever he is in the majority (he is top in seniority automatically) He has managerial duties for the entire judiciary (a big impact on how things are run, dealings with Congress on budgets, proposing new judgeships, etc.) |
