Foxwoods Weekend Tourney\'s Cancelled
Anyone else hear about this? Just when they finally change the Sunday tournament to No Limit where I can really make some money, they go and do this. Anyone know anything else about this? Is this just a trial or is it permanant?
I'm not at all happy about this. My brother, father and myself have no reason to take the trip anymore. Anyone else feel this way? Thanks Peace Goodie |

Re: Foxwoods Weekend Tourney\'s Cancelled
It was bound to happen. They can make much more money from using those tables for cash games.
When they moved the Sunday tourney start time to 9:00 that was enough to make me stay away. Why get up at 5:00 and drive 45 miles to stand in line when I can get up at my leisure and log on to my computer? The web site says the weekly tourney schedule is being revised. I'm interested in seeing the result. In a couple of weeks, I'll be working in RI instead of MA. That'll make the Tuesday night more accessible. If it's still there, that is. |

Re: Foxwoods Weekend Tourney\'s Cancelled
I saw something that the Tuesday NL tourney is going to start at 6 p.m. and is going to be biweekly. On the weeks without the evening tourney, there will be a tourney during the day.
I rarely am in RI, but I don't like the time change or that the evening tourney will be bi-weekly. Ken Poklitar |

Re: Foxwoods Weekend Tourney\'s Cancelled
The time change makes it a real pain. You're probably going to have to get there by 4:00 to get in. Ugh. As much as I'd rather play live, there's getting to be less and less reason to put in the effort.
We need poker rooms here in RI. Now that the Mirage has bought Lincoln Park, maybe we can get a poker room there. Maybe the Narragansetts will get their casino. Maybe Mohegan will reopen. Sorry, just got irrational there for a moment |

All tournaments should start at Midnight to maximize the use of their very limited table space. Midnight Saturday would accomodate people who work during the week. [/ QUOTE ] I had the same problem. Getting down to FW from Boston was always seemed like more of a hassle than it was worth for the tournaments. And then from what I have heard the lists will be crazy when you bust from the tourney. Mass needs news revenue and they don't want slots, I wish they would turn to cardrooms. |
