Re: Hand #2 tonight: KQs in SB, semibluff checkraise
flop i will often 3bet. Assuming I just called, I would lead/3bet all-in that turn card. I'm not a huge fan of the checkraise, especially when I have a powerful draw (18 outs!), because a [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] on the river can kill your action.

Re: Hand #2 tonight: KQs in SB, semibluff checkraise
I like this play. I think you have a lot of fold equity. With the minraise on the flop and the weak bet on the turn, villain hasn't shown any strength. He's calling with a set, but that's highly unlikely considering his line with all the draws. You are getting him to fold the best hand in certain cases. A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]x [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] has you in bad shape, but probably can't call and a 9 will probably fold with the T on the turn.

villain is folding. he doesn't have a hand and if he does he is playing it poorly.
that turn bet screams weakness. i like your play. |

Re: Hand #2 tonight: KQs in SB, semibluff checkraise
I think you played it well. A9 is a potential hand for the villain or K9. I can't see him staying with this hand and if you do you have some outs to win the hand. A K, Q, J, spade might do it for you.
