Crap, crap crap... TPGK facing heat 200NL
Entire table is pretty bad, but all capable of being super aggro at right spots.
Hero in MP with ~225 Villian UTG covers Hero dealt A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villian minraises to $4, hero raises to $12, all fold to villian who thinks for a while then calls. Flop($27) A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villian checks, Hero bets $22, Villian minraises to $44, hero calls. Turn($115) 2 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Villian checks, I ponder a while then check too River($115) 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Villian bets 80, hero calls. Comments? Turn is what had be confused the most. I think his range is a weaker ace or a hand like 88-QQ. 3bet the flop? |

unless you put him on that spade draw, theres no reason to 3 bet pot, because you will not recieve the maximum out of your hand against worse hands. I dont mind check behind on turn becuase if lag CR all in here i think im laying down my hand, and it also allows him to bluff at river and you pick up a nice pot.

Looks OK. I suspect, though, given his big river bet, that he had bottom or middle set and checked the turn because he's concerned about the flush draw. Hopefully for your sake he had A-10.

Grrrr, people always leave out the most exciting part of the post...what did your opponent have???? (I know that's not the point of your post really, but without it, it doesn't help people other than yourself to learn a little bit.)

Looks pretty standard to me, especially against a LAG that could put you to a tough decision and then show you a weird 2 pair or air. nh.

Thats why it is best to give them afterwards or not at all. |

Re: Crap, crap crap... TPGK facing heat 200NL
My problem with the river call is what hands are we beating here? Not many. We beat a complete bluff and some weaker Aces. This is really read dependant on his LAGness and chances of bluffing. Pretty easy fold against your standard TAG.
