ajax on the button, play-along
SB is 27/1/.3 after 40ish hands
BB is standard at this level fulltilt .25/50 Hero receives A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] on the button preflop: folds to hero, who raises. SB calls, BB Calls. flop: 10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] SB bets, BB calls, Hero raises, SB 3-bets, BB folds, Hero ??? ----------------- Obviously, I continue with this hand. More in about an hour. Lunch time. |

Re: ajax on the button, play-along
Against a SB that passive I think you are way behind. Think this is a safe time to call and fold the turn UI.

Re: ajax on the button, play-along
You have some decent backdoors, so I think you call this flop and fold the turn UI.

Re: ajax on the button, play-along
Call here, I think capping is definitely -EV.

What are some of the pitfalls of each line. Ultimately, which one would you choose and why? edit: is that better reqtech? |

Otherwise, I agree with that. Call flop and fold turn UI. |

Re: ajax on the button, play-along
I might call river if J or A hits. But yeah, I get your point. I edited accordingly.

Re: ajax on the button, play-along
i think we should check behind here. he only benefits from this free card if he has a flush draw, but would he 3-bet the flop out of position with a flush draw? possibly, but i'd discount the chance.
more likely this guy's being a [censored] and wants to check raise you with 99/TT/AT/A9. with our outs, we will be forced to call it. so take your free card and hit your straight on the river. then raise the river sweetly, and stroke yourself. |

Re: ajax on the button, play-along
I want to say "Bet. Charge his frush draw," but an agg factor of 0.3? I guess 40 hands is nothing, but this guy is still pretty clearly on the passive side. You have this guy's c/r%? I probably bet this like a chump and call the c/r.
