Should I have raised earlier? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. This flop is perfect for you not only because you flopped a straight, but because every caller with a pair of aces or queens will believe he has the best hand and every caller with a T, K, 8-9 or (by the turn) hearts will be hanging in for the draw. You might even get raised if you bet out. On the other hand, no matter what you do, slowplaying will never extract another bet from anyone who doesn't have one of the above. And you can't count on someone with a pair of aces raising the river. Bet and raise every street. |

Re: Overcalls...hmm...
Raise the turn! The pot is big and you want to get the most value out of your hand. They seem loose passive and will most likely call a raise and then a bet on the river. Also there are 6 cards you really don't want to see on the river (3xK, 3xT) because you don't want to chop. You have to charge anyone who might be holding them to hit their draw (obviously there would only be 5 cards in the deck then). Also, there are 2 hearts on the board and you have to charge the flush draws now.

I think you played this way too passively. Bet out on the flop, if your read is you've got calling stations, then c/r the flop. Don't just call here! Turn, BET, BET, BET!!! or again, check/raise. River, lead off with a bet. I think you left a lot of BB on the table. |

Re: Overcalls...hmm...
this is the new playing style they call R-AG right?
retarded-aggressive, isn't it? it's the one where you bet with nothing and check with the nuts. i like it |

Re: Overcalls...hmm...
But if you check the flop, won't Aces or Queens bet out and you can raise to trap them? Gets you one more bet than betting out and having them call.
