Re: River
Not really enough info to know. If you think he's capable of 3-betting with less than 2 pair then call. If not then fold.
I suppose its more likely that he'll only 3-bet with two pair or better so. So its more likely that you should fold. |

Raise it up! Maybe fold to a 3-bet. [/ QUOTE ] Yes, he's beat most of the time he gets three bet. But I don't think I can ever fold 2 pair on the river in a steal situation, especially on this board. BB doesn't need to be over aggressively defending very often for this to be a good call. |

Re: River
You're probably right. I may be trying to make too many "expert" laydowns.

You're probably right. I may be trying to make too many "expert" laydowns. [/ QUOTE ] If it weren't a steal spot, then a laydown is probably best. I find I'm making many more laydowns than I used to. Seems the pre-SSH mantras which led to people playing more tight and less aggressive have turned into a chorus of "Don't fold for one bet in a big pot" and other such things. Don't get me wrong, these are good general rules, especially for people when they're just starting and don't have good reads and aren't at least decent at reading hands. But I'm trying to save bets those times I'm sure I'm beat. |

Re: River
Please tell me this is the easiest raise ever and I don't completely suck at poker.
Edit: Call a 3-bet. |
