Moving tables can be expensive
Are there rules for moving players to another table?
Last night I was playing a tourney and got moved to another table just after paying the blinds. At the new table I was seated just in front of the blinds so I had to pay them right away again. Great. Then, one hand later (in the CO) I get moved another time and once again I get seated right in front of the blinds. Fcuk. Belive it or not, but I get moved yet another time (from late MP) and yet again to the seat right before the blinds. I lost 1/3 of my stack within minutes due to this. I always supposed that poker rooms tries to avoid this effect when moving players around, but it seems like they don't. Comments? |

Re: Moving tables can be expensive
It can be expensive, and especially frustrating if you're on the bubble. The bottom line though, is it's random, so in "the long run", everyone is hurt by it the same. Sometimes you'll get moved away from the blinds too.
And to restate, there are no rules. |

Re: Moving tables can be expensive
When playing live and balancing tables, I've always seen the Floor pull people in matching positions so that doesn't occur, that's if they're only moving you to balance tables.
If they break down whole tables and you pick a new seat card, well then, it's all up to luck or lack thereof. |
