the $6-12 has been tighter than usual. They are still playing poorly but there are fewer to the flop and they are not calling as many raises.

based on my limited limit experience up there, I kinda think that might be a good thing.

How would TV poker make these clowns play better? It's not like they give very solid limit poker advice during most of the shows I've seen.

I think he meant the presence (is that the rigt spelling?) of the WSOP at Caesar's is making the games there better.
And I'm not really a limit player so I'm just not used to the roller coaster |

Have you seen the new FSN show Play Like the Pros or some such nonsense (I don't think that's the right title)? It's basically Chris Rose with the Full Tilt pros giving tips on basic poker play. I've got a wishlist for poker on my TiVo (which really needs to go - there's so much poker crap on tv) and it picked this thing up. I watched one episode and it was about slow playing. The show was brutal - they went on for half an hour about not slowplaying unless you have the nuts. Every two minutes, Chris "Douchebag" Rose would chime in with some comment about how much he sucks at poker and Howard Lederer would pretend like he doesn't want to beat the [censored] out of him.
I'm pretty sure this is the show that's going to make the fish better. |

It is not possible for a casino 6-12 game to be tight. [/ QUOTE ] What the hell are you basing this platitude on? I've played lots of 6/12, mostly at Borgata but also at MGM Grand, Mirage, and a few other spots, and while the games are mostly loose-passive, you'll occasionally find one that is ridiculously tight-passive. This usually happens when you get some of the more selective old nits at the table with you -- the ones who open call QQ in late position, and tend to fold AKo to a raise since it is "a drawing hand." |

You guys go off on more tangents than
geometery class. Okay, let us start at the beginning. The WSOP circuit events are currently at Caesar's In. The $6-12 Texas Holdem game is full of fish but the last two days the 6-12 Texas Holdem Game has been TIGHTER (Not tight just tighter) than usual. I wondered if the presence of the WSOP and the fact that there is so much more attention on poker than usual is inspiring the fish to attempt to play better. I didn't say they played well, I didn't say the game was tight all I said was it was playing differently and I wondered if it was due to the influence of the WSOP Circuit Events. I absolutely did not say that TV was making the fish play better. This thread makes me wonder if you guys ever play 6-12 at Caesar's IN. |
