I decided to play some 0.5/1 with 50%+ players to flop instead of 20% at 1/2. I did it to clear a hourly bonus which runs equally fast on 0.5/1 as 1/2.
I am not used to so loose tables so I think I made a few questionable moves. Please respond to what is worst of these moves: 1. Calling with A9, KQ, KJ, QJ in LP with 4+ callers infront. 2. Raising with KJ, A9 in LP after 4+ limpers 3. Limping with Kxs and Q9s and 65s. 3. Raising with AJ,A10,A9,KJ first in. 4. Calling from sb with A5,K10,Q10 with +4 callers infront. The question is really: How much worse do high cards become in a multiway pot? |

How much worse do high cards become in a multiway pot? [/ QUOTE ] High cards UI go way down in value. The nice part of multiway pots is lower connectors go up in value more than High cards go down in value. You will win bigger pots when your connectors hit than when your big cards hit. Now if Wookie will reply to this and put into words the point I'm trying to get across that will make more sense to everyone, I would appreciate it. |

My vote would be #3, in a loose game your raises aren't going to be respected, so why raise with that crap in early position?

I'm gonna say 1. Any of those hands is better than the crap that your opponents are likely playing. Hit the raise button.

3 and 4 aren't specific. if you're raising UTG with A9/KJ at a very loose 10-handed table, that's bad.
limping 65s UTG is also almost never the right play (even at 0.50/1). |

No, thats a clear raise which I dont consider a mistake. Suited cards is the holy grail in loose passive games.
