Same UB 5/10 game. Same main opponent. I have come to realize that this person plays every hand for any amount and will chase all the way drawing very thin.
Anyhoo, I'm dealt Q6o in the BB. Opponent (O) limps from UTG+1, it is folded around to me and I check. Flop - Js 9s 6c I bet, O calls. Turn - Jh I bet, O calls. River - Ts Check, check. Comments? Should I have just check-folded the flop? What would you do if O bet after you checked the river? Results below . . . . . . . . . O shows 86o and my Q kicker is good enough to take it down. -- Homer |

Easy flop bet heads up. You may win it right there or get hom to call with an even worse hand. I may bet the river if I think this opponent could pay off with a dry ace or something like 22. If I decide to check I am definitely looking him up if he bets.

Before I saw the results, I was going to say bet the river, and fold to a raise. If he plays everything, he might call you down with 44.

Bet, bet, check-call. That's what I'd do. Nice hand.
I don't bet the river because I neither want to call nor fold to a raise. |
