What line do you normally take on the Turn? [/ QUOTE ] I probably lead the turn for about 60% on the turn, especially after check-raising the flop. If he raises you after that, I think it's an easy fold. If he calls, I hope the river goes check-check. With no read I think the river is a fold, but I think the raise is obviously preferrable to check-calling. |

Re: River Bluff?
Looks like you're trying to represent a set. If this is how you play a set, I like it alot. If you would bet your set again on the turn, then only a very weak opponent will fold. I think you are bluffing on the river, but he may down the AJ AQ AK hand he has.

Re: River Bluff?
Your line looks too weird to be many legit hands - c/r flop, check/call turn, c/r river - I just don't know when that would add up to any real hand. The 4 is your bluff card - why not make a big move on the turn?

Re: River Bluff?
Representing the straight isn't very believable since you called OOP preflop and c/r'd the flop. I don't think you would cc the turn with set also. So I don't think the c/r river is very convincing. Even so, you should be able to get AQ or weaker to fold and MAYBE AK. I think it may work but isn't optimal.
I think a better line is leading weak on the turn, hope to get raised and then 3-bet like a muthaf'r. That's much more convincing IMO. You should get AK to fold enough times to make it +EV using that line instead IMO. |

I dont know about you but I have a fairly good idea when a regular in my 400nl game has a set or not. |

Re: River Bluff?
He said he has no read on the villain, so I assume the villain has no read on him.

Re: River Bluff?
