General MTT Strategy Question
I'm playing a 36 player $300 buy in later this month. Most of the players are weak/tight, some are tight agressive, and some are hyper agressive.
What't the general startegy with something like this. Should I loosen up when on a tight table, steal more, take more risks? The blinds go up slowly, every 40 minutes, gradual, so there is not much pressure of being blinded out or doubling up. What's the best way to generally increase your stack slowly against a field like this? The game is schedule to last 12 hours or more. Top 8 pay. |

Re: General MTT Strategy Question
just play solid.. if your table is extra tight then loosen up a little bit but be willing to lay it down to someone that plays back at you.
w/ MTT's you have to be willing to push small edges to accumlate chips |

Re: General MTT Strategy Question
Is it a home game or online? 36 players seem very little to me.

Re: General MTT Strategy Question
this is a big home game. 10K in starting chips, blinds go up slowly, start at 25/50. It's real poker, no bingo here.

You have to double up constantly (all-in fest) and really can't play a solid thinking game. Around here, we call casino tourney's Bingo... |

Re: General MTT Strategy Question
i was just joking around. i think with deep stacks you can loosen up a little early on and you have alot more room for postflop play. but really just play your game
