A8, quite simple
Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (6 max, 6 handed) converter
Preflop: Hero is BB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 4 folds, SB completes, Hero raises, SB calls. Flop: (4 SB) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero bets, SB calls. Turn: (3 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players) SB bets, Hero calls. River: (5 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) SB checks, Hero checks. Final Pot: 5 BB No reads on this one. Is the PFR good? I have position and although my hand isnt that good, it should win more times than someone who just calls. The turn donk is another problem, he is representing the K but surely that would CR me. Because I was donked and I have a hand I called down. |

Re: A8, quite simple
The preflop raise is fine.
I would call the turn, like you did. (However, I'm not assuming Villain would checkraise a king on this scary board, although he might.) On the river, I don't see much point in feeding the rake. |

Re: A8, quite simple
if you know the rake well and you know this wont increase it you should bet the river.

if you know the rake well and you know this wont increase it you should bet the river. [/ QUOTE ] Is this just because you can? Or that villain may time out and fold? |

if you know the rake well and you know this wont increase it you should bet the river. [/ QUOTE ] I just took a look at the rake structure. It appears the rake going to go up $0.25 once we hit $12 (6 BBs). But I'm curious about something. How often do you get your opponent to fold on the river with the nuts on the board? I ask because I tend to just check it down or call, depending, and I don't know the answer. |
