SnGs vs ring games
This has probably been asked before but couldnt find it anywhere through searching. The newbie post disappered too
Anyway, what level SnG is comparable profit wise to ring games? What ROI is mediocre and good. I know 2bb/100 is good for ring and 3-4bb/100 is achievable for the lower limits. Finally, why do you guys play SnGs instead of ring games? |

Re: SnGs vs ring games
The FAQ above has some info on the profitability.
At least around here, it is widely believed that variance is lower in SNGs. I started playing them because I think they are more fun. |

On top of all the other reasons you will find lying around, enforced breaks in play are good for your game and prevent you from staying in one game longer than you should. Lori |

Re: SnGs vs ring games
SnGs are more fun, and less risk ... at the same relative level of SnG you're losing twice as much money on a NL table if you're playing/running bad (i.e. $10 SnG vs. 25 NL game) ... if you play all the way through an SnG till the end you're seeing about 100 hands for a smaller price than it would cost in NL

Re: SnGs vs ring games
I prefer SnGs because I find them more enjoyable.
That, and I keep losing at ring games :-p |

Re: SnGs vs ring games
I've found i dont get as upset playing in sngs than i do ring games. Maybe like a poster mentioned bc I only lose a fixed amount. I also find "tournaments" more to my liking. I guess its the rush.

Re: SnGs vs ring games
theres alot less thinking, at a ring game you have to do things like build certain images at the relatively higher levels, theres alot less flexibility in a SnG, also its much easier to move up in SnGs.
