Default one more main event hand

2nd level. i have a decent read on everyone at the table.

player directly to me left showed up 30 minutes late. i hated him right behind me -- he was very aggressive, a smart LAG. he was a short asain guy who was talking to men the master at the break -- they seemed like good friends. he might have been a pro, but i didn't recognize him.

he was blinded off about 500 chips but quickly made them back by stealing pots. he has about 12k. i have about 10k w/ blinds of 50/100. my image is tight and conservative but still willing to be aggressive.

the SB is Erin Ness and the BB is a good internet player.

folded to me in the CO w/ 77. I raise to 300, LAG calls, blinds fold.

flop is 10 3 2r. pot is 750. i bet 400. LAG throws out 1000.

i really get the feeling he is trying to pick up the pot, assuming it didn't hit me.

what should my plan be? reraise to about 2500? call? fold?

i wasn't sure if i wanted to risk so much so early w/ low blinds, but felt there was a good chance i was ahead.

I would call this bet and then lead out for a good bet on the turn.

Unless your sure he folds to the re-raise. Then pop him off of the hand. However, if he is calling the re-raise your putting yourself in a tough spot on the turn and building a big pot OOP with an underpair.

If you had Aces here, what would you do?

Probably reraise to 2500 or 3k. Even if he has a T in his hand he's not going to be happy.

Calling and leading the turn is weird. Say you lead for 2500 and he calls. WTF now? If he had a T in his hand I don't see him going anywhere, and if he had a 55 type hand he might still be curious. Worse, he could pair up with a hand like KJ. I think the best way to take care of this pot is a repop on the flop. If he doesn't go away, you can back down.

If stacks were a little deeper you could call and checkraise the turn. Problem here is that will probably mean a near-allin for you, so it doesn't quite work.

I agree with the previous poster - rethink your hand as AA for this one move and go from there. If he calls, check-fold the turn; if he moves all-in, skeedaddle. Trusting to your read I'd say you've got about a 40% chance of taking the pot right here, and if you don't you still got ~65BBs for plenty of play.

yeah -- i folded here and pretty much immediately wanted my cards back.

reraising would represent a strong overpair and i think he would have to muck his T or small pocket, not wanting to get all chips chips in against a young, tight player. if he calls or reraises, i'm done.
