table selection at party
hi,
i used to play at pacific, but some days ago i changed to a party skin. after 1000 hands the average see flop percentage is 31, opposed to 42% at pacific, both at 2/4$. my poker tracker found pretty many fish the last nights, i have about 50 in my buddy list. but i am from europe, that means i play to unusual times and most of my "buddys" are offline when i want to play. here are my questions: 1) what's the ASF in your low limit party games? 2) does the daytime when i play has an important influence on the ASF or the strength of the opponents in general? 3) any tips how to improve my table selection? 4) any further thoughts? |

Re: table selection at party
Looks like you ought to stay at Pacific... Those are some interesting stats. I wonder if Party is overrated compared to other sites fish wise...

Re: table selection at party
pacific is number one fish wise, but that's the only upside.
poker listings (www.pokerlistings.com) rates party with 7 points in soft competition and pacific with 10. i can`t believe, that the difference is that big. |

If you want the really soft games, you have to play very late Euro-time. Many disagreements in the micros and 1TT are caused, imo, by players who are playing in different time zones seeing dramatically different pools of players. |

Re: table selection at party
I have noticed a few good (=TAG) European players that seem to start playing 11:00 PM-1:00 AM US Eastern time. I suspect these guys are rolling out of bed around 4:00 AM their time and getting in a couple of hours before they go to work, school or whatever. I guess it is also possible that they work some sort of night job and are playing before they go to bed.
