TPTK raised pot with brown trout
Gaming Club 2/4 NL
Villan in this hand is a player I respect, and he is a 2p2er. Villan has about 300 and I have him coverd. Villan raises to 16 in late position and I call A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] one of the blinds come along as well. flop JT6 rainbow blind checks villan bets 24 I raise to 70 blind folds villan folds. My reason for playing was that the Villan was capable of raising a wide range of hands preflop and I had position thus justifing calling with AJs. I viewed his flop bet as a continuation so raising was the obvious choice. Raising the flop gives me the chance to take it down right there and also gain information about the strength of the villans hand if he decides to stick around. Also given my pair is only jacks there are many cards that can come on the turn or river that I do not want to have to deal with. Like it hate it or 'meh'? |

I think it's standard with your respect for the villain. Good use of position and nh.
