Actually, I've heard that some countries like Thailand force the ISP's to block either access to certain ports used by poker clients or to the sites themselves (most likely the later). I tried to give it a go while I was in Thailand using SSH port forwarding thru a server I own but the hotel that I was at blocked all non-standard ports (i.e. anything not web or email). I probably could have had them open up a port for me but . . . I was on freakin' vacation, man! [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img]
And really, it's not an outlandish idea. In places like Thailand you could probably live pretty well on $2000 - $3000 a month. Serviced apartment, eating out every night, etc. In parts of LA, $2000 is your rent [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] |
