Default depth of stack size explanations

I always here about deep and shallow stacks, and I understand the value of speculation given a deeper stack.

I'm looking for an explanation of what types of hands play better in shorter stack sizes and why?

Can anyone briefly explain this or know of a past message that gives a good explanation for depth of stack sizes and relative strength of cards. I understand the basics but I would like to read about the topic more.

Thanks.

George

to tide you over till you search...

short-stack: top pair-building hands are good. AJ, KQ, etc.
deeper: nut (or near nut) making hands. Axs, any pocket pair

if you find a good post, can you post a link to it? i'd like to read about it in more depth.
