Pardon me in advance if my reply is off-base. My short-handed game is rusty.

I used to find that, after someone else raised preflop, tougher opponents would often lead at that flop if they hit an Ace, while weaker players would let you bet the flop with the intention of check-raising the turn.

But weaker players would often tend to bet the flop into you with a good draw, a very strong made hand (a set or straight), or nothing at all.

You've described the table as pretty loose-passive, so I would guess that you're up against the weaker kind of players. That suggests to me that you're more likely than normal to be ahead. I'd call down, since you're not much ahead of a draw, you're drawing nearly dead if the SB has a very strong made hand, and you want to encourage the SB to keep firing if he's bluffing. Of course, if the BB finds some aggression later in the hand, I'd reevaluate the plan to call down.
