Default Re: My first trip to the Wynn poker room (long)

[ QUOTE ]
Guys:

I don't know how you can say that I'm a jerk or a dick looking for trouble because I didn't want to change any red chips for blue chips.

I like playing with red chips - Whats the big deal?

Isn't the dealer job to deal the cards? If he wants to change my chips maybe he should work in a bank or a credit union...

Anyway. After this dealer left...
A female dealer sat down. I had a few whites chips by now and used red and white in combo when betting. So whats the big deal???

I've thought a lot about your post in the last couple of days -- I'm funny that way.

The short version is that from start to finish, you made a lot of assumptions that are only reasonable if you're a child, and I am choosing my words carefully.

The long version:

1.) The dealer's job is to run the card game, and that includes keeping the player an eye out for player chips in order to keep the game flowing in a manner that the card room has established as normal.

2.) Clearly -- and I mean it's as clear as it could possibly be -- this particular card room normally uses $1 chips for the 4-8 game. An adult should be able to adjust to changing circumstances, and you should have been able to ascertain what was going on.

What kind of nit would you think me if I walked into your card room and demanded that I play with only $1 chips when I was brought a rack and a stack for my $200, and was a jack ass about it to boot?

3.) The only thing the dealer could have handled better was greeting you and better explaining to you why he was asking you if you wanted to change your chips instead of expecting you to grasp the situation.

4.) Your story makes you appear to be a spoiled nit.

If I sound confrontational, I apologize, but I think it important to point out how unreasonable you are being.
