Yuck.
USA draws Italy, Czech Republic, and Ghana. This will not be an easy group to get out of. It's nice to know that our reward for winning the CONCACAF hexagonal qualifying round and the Gold Cup (i.e. the championship of the CONCACAF confederation this year) is to see the Mexicans draw one of the softest groups, with Angola, Portugal, and Iran. If we hadn't finished in last place in the 98 World Cup because of that moron ex-coach Steve Sampson, then maybe we could have been seeded instead of the Mexicans. France and Spain made off pretty easy as well.
Group C with Argentina, Ivory Coast, Netherlands, and Serbia is disgusting. I'm going to go tease my Croatian buddy now because they get to deal with Brazil, Australia, and Japan.
