no this is wrong. A lot of people make this error. If you are getting 7.5:2 the odds of flopping a set are 15:2. Therefore you need to make up 7.5BB. You can't reduce the 7.5:2 to 3.5:1 because the units are 2BB.
EDIT: Nevermind. As sthief pointed out Kurosh did it right. It is 7.5 sb which you need to make up, which is basically 3.5 BB like Kurosh said. Sorry for tue confusion. People do make this error often though and would say that he would need to make up 3.5sb instead of 7.5
