What will usually happen is phone operators will act as "the supervisor" for each other. Even if you get a supervisor, do you think they will make an exception for you because you were clever enough to speak to one?
Time permitting, it is best to go to the company website and send them a detailed email.
(And yes, NWA is one fo the worst airlines ever).
