I dunno, he just got fed up with SS, and wandered off to OOT and SMP for a while. Then he came back to SS for like a day, I called him out, and he said he'd probably be back in the Fall, but nope, nothing.
He showed up in the #sstakes IRC once, tried to post a couple pictures of his room, didn't work, and then he left.
And now he's not posting anywhere.
I don't think he made another name, but I don't know for sure.
